Some of you might be wondering about my inspiration for
this blog name. Before you judge me for what might seem to be a super cheesy name for a blog that is totally unrelated to spending 4 months in Nepal, let me explain.
Before I left on my journey, my dearest, loving, wise, older sister gave me a small metal butterfly to carry with me with the the following quotations enclosed. These words resonate so strongly with me
that I cannot get through reading them without tears coming to my eyes.

It's all positive, so face it with an open heart.
These past few months in my life have been about making decisions, taking steps forward, taking chances, and waiting to see what will come my way; trusting and hoping with all my heart that I will be met with fulfillment, love, comfort, and success.
I am spreading my wings, anticipating the "magic" that it will bring.
I have that Goethe quote and have always been profoundly moved by it as well! Nothing could be more true, the minute you direct your energy and commit wholeheartedly to anything the Universe conspires to assist you and the road will rise to meet your feet! Auntie M

ReplyDeleteAnyway, the gist of what I had previously typed up was: this is the first post that I'm reading and it's beautiful. It just made me tear! I am SO proud of you for following your HEART over the past year. We don't always need to have an exact plan thoroughly thought out..it's often best to follow what you just feel is right and do it "just because." I am sooo happy that you were courageous and brave enough to embark on such an incredible journey! You are a beautiful butterfly and I am excited to continue to read about this exotic flight :)
